Welcome to the Anyhoo! My name is Sunny Chanel. It is oh so lovely to meet you. If you don’t know me already, I was once a very active freelance writer. I have penned thousands, like really THOUSANDS of pieces for sites such as Disney’s former online magazine Babble, Buzzfeed, Business Insider, Brit + Co, and Fandango, to name a few. Yeah, I have typed out a whole lot of words during my career.
Not that long ago, I wrote a coffee table book, Bring the Magic Home: An Exploration of Design Inspired by Disney Parks, published by Disney Editions. As a lifelong theme park fanatic, I was inspired to create a resource for others who thirst, nay, need to incorporate Disney magic – or any kind of whimsy – into their everyday lives. The book is even sold on Main Street, U.S.A., in Disneyland, which is like such a life-goal-unlocked moment! In my spare time, I run a vintage vinyl record store I inherited from my parents, continue working on my 1927 California bungalow, and spend way too much time daydreaming about my next adventure.

I felt compelled to create The Anyhoo to have a place where I, and hopefully others, can go to escape for a little bit of distraction from the day-to-day. I tend to look for inspiration anywhere and everywhere, and how to bring that magic home; think of unique home decor, unforgettable destinations, curious goodies for you and yours, books, movies, films, and really anything that sparks joy.
